I didn't set out to start a jewelry brand. I set out to find the perfect diamond, and nobody could show me one.
I'd spent years studying stones, grading them, learning what made one cut sing and another fall flat. I had the certifications. I had the eye. What I didn't have was a single brand that designed the way I thought jewelry should feel on a person. Clean proportions. Intentional setting. A stone chosen for how it catches light on your hand, not how it looks under a loupe in a tray.
So I started making pieces that did.
From Graphic Design to Gemology — How Stellar Gems Began
I studied graphic design and art history in Lebanon before moving to Dubai. The design training stayed with me. Proportion, negative space, the weight of a line. These aren't jewelry terms, but they're in every piece I make.
My first decade in jewelry was spent learning the industry from the inside. Working with stones every day, understanding how gold behaves at different karats, watching how clients respond when a piece fits versus when it almost fits. I earned my HRD diamond grading certification in 2018, not because the industry required it, but because I wanted to grade my own stones with full confidence.
Stellar Gems came from a simple question: what would I build if I designed only for the woman wearing the piece? Not for a showcase. Not for a catalog. For the way a ring sits on a specific finger, the way a pendant falls at a specific neckline. That question became this brand.

When a diamond costs a fraction of its mined equivalent at the same certification grade, something changes in the design process. The stone stops being the entire budget. Suddenly, the setting can be exactly right. The proportions can be exactly right. The gold weight, the prong placement, the way the piece moves. All of it can be designed around how it will actually be worn, not around what's left over after the stone.
That's what lab-grown diamonds mean to me. Not a discount. Not an environmental statement. Design freedom. The ability to make a piece where every element was chosen with intention, not compromise.

How Stellar Gems Lab-Grown Diamond Jewelry Is Made
Whether you buy from the collection or commission something bespoke, every piece follows the same four-stage process.
Jewelry Design and CAD Rendering
Every piece starts as a CAD rendering. Proportions, setting style, and stone placement are finalized before any material is touched. For bespoke commissions, this stage includes your direct input.
01Lab-Grown Diamond Selection and Grading
Danya selects each diamond from certified lab-grown inventory, grading for the specific requirements of the piece. Cut, color, and clarity are matched to the design, not the other way around.
02Handcrafted in Solid Gold
Each piece is made in solid 18K gold. Setting, finishing, and polishing are done by the same workshop that has produced Stellar Gems pieces since the brand launched.
03Final Inspection and Certification
Danya personally inspects every completed piece. Diamond alignment, prong security, surface finish, and overall balance. The grading certificate is prepared and the piece doesn't ship until it passes.
